Just had one of the best afternoon teas, ever! Lovely location in the new forest. Amazing grounds for walking off all those delicious sandwiches and cakes. Posh doggy bag for those cakes you couldn't poke down with gulps of tea or coffee. Will be booking up again soon. Also saw James Martin's new The Kitchen restaurant at the entrance to Chewton Glen, should be a great dinning place.
This is 'the' hotel in Hampshire. Helicopters drop off the rich and famous. Staff treat everyone the same. Service is faultless. We have eaten meals at all times of the day and food has always been exceptional. The hotel has lots of quiet places just to relax in. The various garden areas grow the vegetables which are cooked in the kitchen and served in meals. Rooms are very expensive but are fabulous with all amenities; and some more. The surrounding area has many places to visit. I can think of nothing negative about the Chewton Glen.

The owners were so nice, genuine funny and considerate! They cook a fantastic breakfast and they do lots of little things for you that really make you feel at home. The area is beautiful and only a 10-15 min walk from the beach and 5 mins from the shops.
Wonderful hosts. Homecooked food especially breakfast to die for.very friendly atmosphere and family are lovely along with their pets .so so welcoming.nothing was to much trouble. The place is so relaxing you just don't want to go home.

The staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly. The room was very clean but a bit tired looking in places, in need of tlc. There was also an old fridge just hanging around in the grounds. There was a children's play park, but again it needs some refreshment and the grass needed cutting. Breakfast in the morning was delicious and well prepared. I would go back.
We've just spent 3 nights at Willow Barn and had a wonderful stay. The room was lovely, looking over the courtyard. The food was very good and Rob, Duncan and all the staff were extremely helpful. I'm sure we'll be back again soon.

Great food, got it 10 minutes after we ordered. Great decor and love the atmosphere. Staff are very friendly especially laura and Rayna, and are great at their job as Well as the main building being beautiful.
The service here is excellent and good food. I did have a problem with my meal but it was sorted immediately. I would recommend this restaurant.

All the main meals cost close to £10 each and are an okay size, very tasty. On our visit tonight, we had to wait over an hour for our meals. The queue was out the door waiting to even get served at the bar and was so hot and stuffy inside, not ideal trying to keep young kids happy whilst waiting. Maybe they were short staffed on this one occasion so am giving the benefit of the doubt with 4*s as we also have family staying there for a few nights and they told us the rooms are quite pleasant. You can eat outside in the smoking area. Would be good if they had an outdoor play area, especially if the wait for food is the norm and the fact families with young children staying here
Brewers Fayre... Not many of them about these days. Food is good although even when dining in the restaurant you have to go to the bar to order. What let's this place down is the pool table in the middle of the main bar. We have been in for a quiet drink and a meal a few times now and there have been some very noisy drunk locals playing on it. I am in no way a prude but it does put you off a bit when you just want a quiet drink.
